Dr. Yong Zheng, Application Development and Technical Service Scientist at Mica Corporation, will give a technical presentation titled "Adhesion with Purpose: The Value of Primers in Sustainable Flexible Packaging." The presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 28, between 8:30 -10:30 AM as part of the Paperization and Plastic Reduction track. Dr. Zheng will discuss the critical role of primers in enhancing adhesion and performance in sustainable packaging solutions. Drawing on real-world customer challenges, the presentation will feature three case studies demonstrating how primers enable the use of materials like extruded PVOH, starch polymers, and PHA in compostable and recyclable packaging.
