Atlanta, GA April 2015
Mica Corporation’s Technical Sales Director and TAPPI PLACE’s Division Chair, Rob Hammond, presented at TAPPI’s Centennial Celebration on April 20, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. The presentation was given as part of the PLACE Division’s overview of paperboard extrusion coating technology and focused on primers on paperboard for extrusion coating and heat-sealing applications.
Mica has been a participant of TAPPI for almost forty years. During that time, many Mica employees have held prestigious leadership positions in TAPPI, including current President, Jeffrey Siegel, who served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for two years. It is because of the many contributions and decades of involvement and leadership within TAPPI that Mica was invited to attend the centennial events, including TAPPI’s exclusive gala, which was a celebration and historical review of TAPPI’s achievements of the last century.
Mr. Hammond will be attending TAPPI’s European PLACE Conference in Nice, France next month. Visit him at Mica’s tabletop in the foyer of the Baie des Anges meeting room.
