Mica Corporation, a leading manufacturer of innovative water-based primers and coatings for the global flexible packaging industry, is happy to welcome Michael Wyrostek as our new Product Development Chemist. With over two decades of experience in the specialty chemical industry, Michael brings a wealth of expertise that will greatly benefit our team.
In his role as Product Development Chemist, Michael will help drive innovation, develop new products, and enhance existing formulations to better meet the evolving needs of our customers and industry partners. His responsibilities include quality control (QC) testing of products, application development experiments, and technical support to our current and new customers.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts. He started in the chemical industry as a research/QC chemist, where he developed a deep understanding of chemical processes and quality control standards. Over the years, he has held roles in technical service, product line management, as well as sales and marketing, honing a versatile skill set that will bring great value to his new position.
