Mica Corporation, a global leader in water-based primers and coatings for flexible packaging, is excited to share strategic leadership changes designed to strengthen its supply chain and production operations. This reorganization includes the promotion of two key team members, Shannon Auten and Sandesh Singh.
Shannon Auten has been promoted to Supply Chain Director. Shannon joined Mica Corporation in 2014 as Production Manager, where he led efforts to standardize and improve manufacturing processes, reduce inventory levels, and maintain production output. His leadership has been instrumental in driving operational efficiency, cultivating a supportive work environment, and aligning production with strategic business goals.
Shannon brings over three decades of experience to this role, including positions at Procter & Gamble’s Clairol Division, Sikorsky Aircraft, and Medtronic, as well as five years of service in the U.S. Navy. His background spans packaging, manufacturing, and chemical plant operations, making him well-equipped to lead Mica’s global supply chain strategy.
Sandesh Singh will assume the role of Production Supervisor and Site Compliance Coordinator in Shelton, CT, expanding on his previous responsibilities as Process Engineer and Site Compliance Coordinator. Prior to joining Mica, Sandesh was a Mechanical Engineer at Microtech Inc., where he managed production and improved processes for microwave waveguide assemblies used in satellite and radar installations.
In his new role, Sandesh will oversee site-wide regulatory compliance and process safety, manufacturing and shipping operations, while also driving productivity improvements within the plant.
