Mica Corporation, a leading manufacturer of innovative water-based primers and coatings for the global flexible packaging industry, would like to welcome Lien Vu as Research & Development Chemist. Lien joins us with a robust background in chemical R&D that will significantly contribute to our mission of delivering sustainable solutions to the flexible packaging industry.
Lien holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Philadelphia University and has worked with organizations such as Duracell, Unilever, Evonik, and Clairol. Her expertise includes analytical methods development, product development and optimization, quality control, and formulation.
In her role at Mica Corporation, Lien will lead the development of new products and drive sustainability projects. Lien will develop water-based primers, barrier and heat seal coatings to provide adhesion and other important functionality in flexible packaging structures, while also designing for compostability, recyclability, and repulpability. This optimization and expansion of Mica’s product portfolio will address the sustainability challenges of our customers.
