Jeffrey J. Siegel


Jeff has been employed full-time at Mica since 1986, although his first paycheck from Mica can be traced back to the early 1970’s. Back then, he worked summers and during school breaks. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College, and management training from UST Corp. in Boston, MA where he became a Branch Manager and corporate officer. Jeff's first full-time position in Mica was in financial management, and has since served as Operations Manager, and Vice President. Jeff was elected to the position of President in 2000. A TAPPI member since 1987, Jeff has served on the extrusion coating committee of the PLACE division. He has held numerous positions on that committee and served as the Extrusion Coating Committee Chairman (1993-1994). Jeff was chairman of the PLACE division (1998-1999), has been a member of TAPPI’s technical operations committee and the Operating Committee of the Board of Directors. Jeff has been a frequent speaker at TAPPI conferences, short courses and symposia both in the United States and in Europe. He served as TAPPI’s Chairman of the Board from 2009-2011. In 1994, he received a Best Session Award for his presentation “Extrusion Coating Processing” at the PLC Conference. In 2002, he was honored with the PLACE division’s Leadership and Service Award and the Andreas Ahlbrandt Prize in recognition of his contributions to the organization. In his free time, Jeff enjoys boating with his wife, Mindy and two daughters, Jaclyn and Rebecca. He is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain.

Andrew Siegel

Vice President

Andrew achieved both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut.  He currently serves as Mica's Vice President, and he has worked in several departments since he started in 1990, including quality assurance, product development, product scale-up, process engineering, communications and marketing, logistics, production management, and facility management. In 1999, he oversaw the construction and design of our current Mica headquarters. On his days off, Andrew enjoys fishing, boating, and skiing with his family. 

Tammy Cheng

Laboratory Director

Tammy obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Scranton. She was employed for 10 years by Dow Corning as a senior product development chemist in the microelectronics division. It was there that Tammy developed her expertise in the development and commercialization of numerous filler/resin treatments, injection-moldable materials, and protective coatings. Tammy joined Mica Corporation in 2005 and manages the laboratory and its team of chemists and engineers on client services, various projects, and internal product development. Tammy enjoys the energy and the ability of the Mica team to continually adapt to the changing market needs of the flexible packaging industry. When she's out of the lab, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. 

Robert Hammond

Technical Sales Director

Rob started at Mica in 1998. He started in the laboratory both developing new products and creating the QA procedures for testing manufacturing products. Four years later, he moved into the Technical Sales Department. In 2014, he took on the role of Technical Sales Director. Since 2004, Rob has assumed many leadership roles for the TAPPI PLACE Division, including Division Chair which he served as for four years. He has also been an instructor for TAPPI's Extrusion Coating Course for over a decade.  He is also an active member of SPE, AIMCAL, IoPP, and ACS. Previous to Mica, Rob worked for 17 years in Corporate Research and Development; those companies were Allied Chemical (Honeywell), GTE Laboratories (Verizon), and Polaroid. Rob graduated from Northeastern University with an ACS accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. His professional fields of specialization include molecular spectroscopy, thermal analysis, polymer technology and coating technology. On his days off, he enjoys fine cigars and golfing.

Jessica Albino
Communications Manager
Jessi graduated summa cum laude from Pace University (NYC) in 2011, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She joined Mica Corporation in 2012 as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Internal Sales Representative in 2014. In 2016, she was appointed as Communications Manager where she manages information and facilitates internal operations in order to support sales initiatives, media coverage, and public relations.  Her favorite part about Mica is that every day presents new opportunities to learn and grow. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, cooking, and traveling. 

Shannon Auten
Production Supervisor
In 2014, Shannon came to Mica Corporation with over 12 years of production and manufacturing management experience from several large corporations including Covidien, Sikorsky, and Procter and Gamble. Before that, Shannon was a Machinist Mate for 6 years in the U.S. Navy, where he supervised the production of torpedoes and submarines. He graduated from Machinist Mate "A" School in Orlando in 1994. Shannon's favorite part about Mica is that he gets to work in a small company environment, while still having the large company experiences to draw on from many of his co-workers.In his time away from work, he enjoys hiking, biking, camping and watching his kids participate in cross country, hockey and baseball games.

Cheryl Blake

Accounting Manager
Cheryl obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern Connecticut State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She joined the Mica team in 1993, and her favorite part about her job is that it is never boring. She loves that she has the opportunity to learn new things and contribute to the company as a whole on a daily basis. When she isn't in the office, Cheryl enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, reading, and cooking.

Vinnie Corsale
Supply Chain Manager
Before joining Mica Corporation in 2013, Vinnie worked as a supply chain professional for 18 years in companies including Gen-probe, Sikorsky, and Eemax Inc. Vinnie is an active member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society and the American Purchasing Society. He was also the Global Resources Director for the National Association of Purchasing Management for two years. He speaks fluent Italian, and in his spare time, he likes to cook, read, travel, and catch up with old friends.

Jaclyn Epstein

Sales & Marketing Strategy Manager

Jaclyn joined Mica in 2016, but has never been a stranger to the company.  As granddaughter of founder, Dan Siegel, she grew with the business and interned with the company in 2008 when she was a freshman in college. At that time, she successfully coordinated Mica’s first ever Global Associates Conference. In her current role as Sales & Marketing Strategy Manager, Jaclyn helps drive Mica’s business development, sales, and marketing efforts. As part of her role, Jaclyn leads strategic planning for the company and spearheads global cross-functional projects. Prior to joining Mica Corporation, Jaclyn spent six years at GE, gaining global communications experience in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Media Relations, Digital Strategy, Employee Communications, Crisis Communications, Thought Leadership and Executive Communications. Jaclyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University in 2011. Her education and experience working in communications-focused leadership roles at GE prior to joining Mica, made her the perfect candidate to become TAPPI’s Director of Communications for the Young Professionals Division in 2017. Jaclyn enjoys working for Mica because she believes in its mission and is surrounded by a smart, customer-focused, passionate team. When she’s not in the office, Jaclyn enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Mike Wintman
Logistics Manager
Mike has been with Mica Corporation since 1975. In fact, Mica has been Mike's only job since receiving his Master's Degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University. For Mike, working at Mica has never been boring. Every day brings a new challenge, and that is one of the good things about working at a small company. That, and the feeling that we are a family as well as a business. In his spare time, Mike likes to socialize with friends, participate in sports and cook.

Tim Hemkens
Technical Sales Representative
Tim graduated in 1979 from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and Chemistry minor. He immediately started his career in the packaging field as a bench chemist and field technician with The Jefferson Smurfit Group (now Smurfit-Stone Container). From there, he worked at Sealright Corporation at the Packaging Technology Center (now Huhtamaki), and after 13 years, Morton International (now Dow Chemical). Tim has been with Mica Corporation since 2001. He enjoys the technical aspects of his job, especially problem-solving. His interests are cooking, with emphasis on grilling and smoking, fishing, camping, and traveling with his family.

Darrell Landry

Technical Sales Representative
Darrell joined Mica Corporation in 2014 with over 30 years of experience in the film and coating industries. He started his career as an operator at Chevron Phillips in 1980 and worked in many departments within the company over a span of 25 years, including lab service, research and development, plant installation, plant production, and finally technical service, where he worked for 12 years. Darrell and his wife Tami enjoy watching their two grandsons grow and discover the world. He is also an avid golfer, and can't wait to introduce golf to his grandsons someday.  Darrell currently serves on TAPPI's Technical Program Team as Vice Chair. 

Susie Lange
Technical Sales Representative

Susie began her career as a Process Engineer at Alcan Packaging immediately after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987. For two decades, before joining Mica Corporation in 2016, she contributed to the success of industry giants such as Bemis Company Inc. and Coating Excellence International (now a division of ProAmpac). Susie loves working with people, and her favorite part of being a sales representative is the opportunity to build relationships with coworkers and customers. In her spare time, she likes to write, cook, and exercise, and enjoys tiling and stained glass. Susie is an active member of TAPPI. 

Charles Sirapandji
Technical Sales Representative
Charles obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He joined the Mica sales team in 2013 but has worked in the flexible packaging and plastic industries since 1996 in Indonesia (Plasindo Lestari), Singapore (HKK Industrial Services) and the Philippines (Universal Robina Corporation). Charles speaks Mandarin and is fluent in English and Indonesian. His favorite part of the job is sharing knowledge and helping people, especially with the converting process. He has a passion for running, tasting and cooking foods from different cultures, and reading.
